I am a Speech Language Pathologist in a low income, inner-city school district. I work in the middle school setting where students are seen in small group setting. Their diagnoses range from Autism Spectrum Disorder, ADHD, Intellectual and Neurological disabilities, Executive Functioning, Language deficits and articulation errors. The students I service are the most inspiring students I have ever worked with in my career. They come from different backgrounds and stories of the life. They often have stories from their life's journey beyond what many of us have or will see. With everything they have seen and overcome, they are always eager to learn, excited to demonstrate their growth and are always proud of their accomplishments. They truly are an inspiration to me as I watch them grow. I come to work every day knowing they impact me daily to do better and be better. I love what I do because of these students.
About my class
