My students are hungry to learn new things. The level of energy in my classroom is incredibly high. I teach with urgency and my students respond with the same urgency. We know that we have a job to do in the classroom and it is of the utmost importance that we do that job: read complex texts, analyze them deeply and thoroughly, and connect to the broader world around us. This type of connection will equip them with the skills they need later in life to read and analyze complex texts and see how they connect to their world and families.

About my class
