As a Drama teacher in Hartford, CT it is hard to produce a quality arts education while operating on $0 budget. What turns a challenging situation into opportunity are the students in my school who have unrivaled passion, drive, and personality. I am unable to purchase scripts and rights to do performances, but that doesn't stop us from creating theatre. In a typical day in drama class, you will see students drawing from their imagination and experiences to create stories. They learn how to use their voice and body to express themselves and share their stories with others. They gain confidence, learn how to collaborate, and are proud of themselves for accomplishing something they once deemed impossible. Your help would allow these students to continue to challenge themselves and grow as young people and artists. They deserve every opportunity that I can provide to them, and your support makes it possible.
