I am blessed to teach at a small and very diverse school. My students come from various ethnic, racial, religious and socio-economic backgrounds. We are a Title One school so most of the students do not come from families with a lot of money. The kids make impressive progress during their kindergarten year. At the beginning of kindergarten many students have difficulty writing their first names, but by the end of the year most of my students are writing, reading, adding, subtracting, and they are able to explain science and social studies concepts. They are truly amazing children who are kind, giving, enthusiastic about learning, hard working and caring.
