I look forward to allowing my students the freedom to sit where they please during reading and free writing time, and while they play during free time as well. I chose the variety of seating options on my list based on what has proven popular in the past, as well as being among the most economic and durable choices I could find. Offering choices to students allows them to make decisions, learn what works for them, and take comfort in their freedom of choice. In opening up my classroom to my students' decisions, I am enabling them to be shareholders of the class.
