My students are diverse, varying greatly in mathematic understanding and also in socioeconomic background. A large number of my students live in poverty and buying school supplies can be a challenge, let alone supplies as expensive as a graphing calculator. Yet, they are motivated by technology and use it in most other areas of their lives. They are active and curious and seek to be known. I teach varying levels of Algebra and Geometry with student who have cognitive impairments to students who are above grade level, and everything in between.
