We chose these educational games because at our last community outreach night, we had games for the students to play with their family members. They really enjoyed it, so we thought these educational games would be great motivators for the students to read with a purpose. Once they make and achieve their reading goals, the students will get to choose a game as a reward for their reading effort. In time the students will develop a deeper understanding of the necessity of reading. We think that these games will be a great start for these students to begin appreciating what reading can help them achieve in life. They are also learning goal setting skills that will help them be successful, and to stick to their goals. These incentive will keep them striving for success.
