String instruments are rarely accessible in the elementary school setting. Ukeleles are a great first step toward a student’s future endeavors on more common string instruments, namely: violin, viola, cello, bass, and guitar. According to scientist, brain scanning studies have found that the anatomical change in musicians’ brains is related to the age when their training began. The younger the students started, the more their brain developed. This applies to enhancement of verbal memory, special reasoning, and literacy skills. Some researchers have found that music helps speech processing, children with dyslexia, and protection against dementia. Thank you for your donation!
