21st century learning is exciting and engaging. In particular, my students attend a technology, engineering, arts, and Sciences academy. Even though many of them come from a low socioeconomic status, their desire to persevere and attain academic excellence is unparalleled. What if the only thing standing in the way of a child being the next great scientist, engineer, author was the lack of resources that will evoke wonder and creative experiences? I am a strong believer in the power of technology, and that is why I feel it is of utmost importance for my students to have unlimited opportunities to use their talents and have the necessary tools to succeed. Having access to an IPad Mini will captivate my students' attention and motivation. As a teacher, I will be able to assist all students in a virtual way through websites like classkick.com, Nearpod, and Google Classroom. Students will have be able to utilize apps that are only available on tablet devices to design their projects through project based learning activities. They will also be able to create original content through apps like Flipgrid and amplify their student voice. An Ipad Mini will provide mobility so students are not confined to the walls of a classroom and can explore the outdoors. I am confident that this resources will significantly impact student motivation, application, and academic excellence. If given the opportunity, I will utilize these programs with fidelity and purpose. I always have the best interest of my students in mind.
