It’s time for an art class upgrade for my students! Technology is never in the budget, and with about 94% of my students being “economically disadvantaged”, they don’t always have access to technology at home either. Providing this opportunity will introduce my students to the digital world of art, and help connect them with current media. They are so talented, and I would love to be able to help provide a foundation in graphic design, digital art, photography, and animation to support their future careers in art. This opportunity will also help them develop their critical thinking and problem solving skills needed for their future! The iPad has many features and apps that would help provide an interactive art learning experience for my special needs students, as well as translating tools to help with my bilingual students or English Language Learners! I tell my students every day to Dream Big, and I think this opportunity of having iPads in the classroom can help them reach those goals!
