This project will be used to create a colorful, comfortable classroom conducive to learning for my students. Students will receive culturally representative books, high quality classroom basics, and comfortable seating to create a community of learners and leaders.
Flexible seating, bright colors, and familiar faces will support my students in creating and engaging in our inclusionary learning environment. Students will select their favorite stools and cushions in the same way adults buy fuel efficient cars or arch-supporting shoes, to ensure they are able to minimize physical impediments to progress. Maps, clocks, and timers are essential in an early learning classroom as they acquaint students with everyday tools of learning. These materials will help my classroom be a place where I love to teach my students who will in turn love to learn.
