Reading is considered an active process where the reader must feel engaged in order to comprehend what they have read. These games and activities make learning not only fun, they also engage the students which helps them remember the skills being learned. These products would allow my small group centers to be evolving with materials and methods and therefore more productive. Products such as these also increase the peer to peer teaching which helps with confidence and memory.
Student will also benefit from products such as these by increasing phonological awareness, reading fluency, and vocabulary. Each of these skills is used as prerequisites for comprehension. Students will benefit in other subjects as well by increasing their thinking skills such as: working memory, organization, self-awareness, and focus.
