Over the years I have spent an enormous amount of money on my classroom library. Watching my students learn to love reading a good book, or learn about interesting people or places has made every penny I've spent worth it. I love that I am able to give my students that might not have books at home an opportunity to borrow a book from our classroom library.
However, books do not last forever. They have passed through many hands and seen lots of love. It is necessary to replace some as well as add some great new books to our library. And for my nonfiction lovers, the Scholastic News magazine makes learning interesting and fun! They even get to take them home to keep after we read them together!
