Wobble chairs, balancing balls and soft cushions oh my! Giving my students options for seating allows them to feel comfortable in the classroom. Everyone enters the classroom with their own wonderfully diverse background and various levels of energy. Flexible seating allows students to find comfortable positions throughout the classroom. Comfortable students are able to be more focused, and productive. Students learn better when they have a chance to work together. Traditional desks in rows isolate students from each other. Flexible seating in our classroom encourages students to take an active role in their learning by giving them an an opportunity to choose their best space to do their best work.
