Hi! My name is Mrs. Riffle and I teach first grade in a rural community. I am continuously looking for ways to peak my students learning, but those resources are hard to come by. This year I am planning on starting a more hands on reading program in my classroom. This program will require me to have books that I can read aloud with my students each week. We will be studying each book for a week and doing various hands on activities that are related to the book. I feel that this will really engage my students and make them more critical thinkers as the year goes on.
