I teach in an inner city school with a population of 500 students. We have an approximate rate of 85% free and reduced lunch. We currently have 74 English Language Learners. Some were born in the United States, others abroad. Some are immigrants, others are refugees. All are eager to learn new things in their second (or third) language - English.
