The three bean bag chairs will supplement our classroom's growing collection of flexible seating. Choosing a private and comfortable reading location facilitates students slipping into the "reading zone" during personal reading time. The lap desks may be used for reading time as well, or to facilitate more comfortable and functional work time at a space other than students' desks. During group projects, the six stack stools will allow collaboration on group projects to spread into the hall and unused spaces in the classroom.
Students learn best when they can choose a functional and comfortable space that fits their needs and preferences. Supplies like those listed above begin to infuse the classroom with a coffee shop vibe that invites engagement.
