My students have diverse cultural backgrounds, mainly Hispanic, African American, and Bangladesh. Our school is in the highest poverty area. However, our staff and administration work extremely hard to provide the best education possible for the students.
I teach in an ICT classroom. Half of the students are in the general education population and half of the students have an individualized education plan because of some type of learning disability.
The students are at various levels so that all of their instruction is differentiated. Many of my little locomotives find it impossible to sit still for instruction. The kindergarten standards and expectations are high. Therefore, they must be able to focus for short periods of time. Several of my students would greatly benefit by using the wobble stools. The students would be able to focus while staying active on their stools.
