My students are fantastic! I serve over 1,000 students as the librarian. I've seen most, if not all, students multiple times this school year. Many students are excited by new library materials. They are avid library-goers, and are always thrilled to see new books in their library.
My students are underserved because of state and district budgets. They are like the trees in A Tree Grows in Brooklyn- they are thriving under some very harsh budget constraints. After generations of students passed through our library, we don't have much to speak for. These grants from ÐÇ¿Õ´«Ã½ will enliven our library collection and library atmosphere. Students will be proud to have up-to-date books and a more modern-looking library because it shows that someone cares about them.
