My students are amazing! Many of these unique students come from low-income households and have hard-working parents that are doing all they can just to provide the basic needs. Some of them speak one language at home and another at school. Some travel from household to household throughout the week, splitting time with parents and aren't sure of where they will be spending the night.
These incredible kids have a thirst for knowledge, but often lack background experiences and access to the materials that they need.
I want my students to know that even though they can't control the circumstances that they were born to, they can succeed beyond their circumstances.
