My students are like a room full of reporters, always asking questions, gratified equally by my ability to answer a question as well as those moments when I'm stumped. But the substance of my answers is what my sensational 6th graders seek more than anything else. They are as eager to be shared with as they are to share with others. Individually, they aspire to meet and beat challenges; collectively, they have displayed a strength and creativity that only barely touches their potential. As our school has progressed, so have our kids. They are evolving from students to active participants in learning, and they want nothing more than to make sense of the world around them.
