Students will use these hands-on pop beads to create the chemical structures of DNA and demonstrate the replication process of DNA. They were also use the virtual lab kit and its DNA model pieces to put together DNA like a puzzle in a brightly colored and simplistic fashion. By building the pieces themselves they will understand the complicated processes happening in our cells all the time at a microscopic level!
The processes happening in our cells are microscopic and students often struggle to understand the steps and remember what they’re called. Building them with a model will give them the opportunity to understand and remember the process.
