Since the beginning of the school year, my students have not had a structured physical education class due to staffing issues.
Being that our school does not have a physical education teacher, it is up to me to teach my students about the structure, collaboration and fun of sports. I believe it is extremely important to utilize this time to teach them different kinds of games such as baseball, dodgeball, football, etc. so that each and every one of my students can experience teamwork, success and the feeling of freedom that sports give us as children.
I want my students to know that although we don't have a physical education teacher, this content area is important and requires discipline and wonder.
