I teach high school Special Education, English, Social Studies, and a class about horror movies at an alternative transfer school in New York City. My students are 16-22 and have attended at least one other high school before they found us. As one student described it, it is a "refugee camp for people traumatized by high school." I hope to help them recover from that experience and graduate from high school.
