Playing to learn and learning to play...
My students are a wonderful group of 5 year olds. They definitely remind me of a box of crayons. I have students with a variety of needs such as developmental delays, Asperger's Syndrome, bipolar, emotional needs, as well as my regular education students. Each student exhibits unique qualities that makes him or her very special. They are very hard workers and many of them come from single family homes. Several of my students are raised by grandparents. Over half of them are on free or reduced lunch. Teaching all students but especially those with special needs makes me a better teacher.
