Gardening is a great way for students to learn how to grow their own food and plants. They will get to visually see how a plant grows. Gardening is a great exercise choice for many students. Getting outside in the fresh air to garden is sometimes a tough sell when kids love to play videos games inside. Gardening is one way I'm trying to help the students in our school to become healthier. Along with teaching gardening comes a plethora of great educational, lifelong lessons.
Giving students the tools to learn to grow their own food will keep them fed for life.
Students will be able to grow and eat the produce they grow in the school garden. These are skills that can be use throughout their life when the need for it arises.
