Teaching 1st grade requires imagination and supports that extend beyond the desks and curriculum provided. In order to create a place that students want to be (especially with the current upheaval in the world) I want to design my classroom around nature and the calming effect that it has on myself and my students. This is my first year teaching in a new school, new district, new grade level, and as such, I am in need of supplies that I had to leave at my previous school. A rug like this and the book bins that belong to me will allow me to support students at any school, should I ever move again!
