My students are wonderful, caring, and full of energy. I have many students that come from all over the world. Some are refugees, others have moved here to try for a better life. PE is the one time during the day they can be equal with their native US peers. 74% of my students are on free or reduced lunches because of the low income, high poverty area of the school.
My kids love coming to PE every day. They see me setting up the activities in the morning, and ask what we are doing today. It's great every morning, especially on those days I am under the weather or not feeling my best. They really do love coming to class and that makes it worth it for me. I also get many kids helping with the set up and take down of our equipment. They love all the new and different activities we do in PE.
