The children in my classroom do not get to go home and play educational games on the computer or iPad like many of our own children do. These tablets will give these children the opportunity to have their hands on technology and explore through ways other than traditional paper and pencil.
I feel that this will expose the children to the technology component of education that they are missing.
These tablets will help my students begin to develop skills such as typing, reading, speaking, and listening on a device. They will need to be fluent with these skills as they become older and technology changes.
I hope to be able to help bridge the gap in technology by putting more equipment such as these tablets in the hands of my students.
