Joanna Puello is founder of World Upside Down, a nonprofit startup which is creating curriculum resources for arts educators. She founded the organization in 2013 and just signed a contract with SteveSongs from PBS Kids to create video curriculum for elementary music teachers across the world.
Being a female entrepreneur isn't easy, but Joanna Puello overcomes the odds and can inspire my students to make their dreams become a reality. Joanna is a Type 1 diabetic and almost died twice while pursuing her dreams. She has had to figure out every step of her nonprofit business project on her own. It's been hard, but she hasn't given up.
I can't wait for my students to hear her story and see how she's impacting the world for good in spite of the odds.
