California is a very diverse state. My students come from a background of struggle. Many of my students are first generation English speakers. They not only struggle in English class, but with all subjects. My school hired me over a month after school started to work with these students to make them better readers and writers. I plan to use any method to help them be successful. I am a first year teacher and have lots of plans but I need help stocking my classroom so my students can succeed.
