Most of the students in my neighbor school come from working class families. Some parents are plumbers, carpenters, and mechanics (all great professions for people who like to work with their hands.) Introducing these students to high tech hands-on work will help them see a world beyond. Many have said to me that they will never go to college nor continue with education. Things like Robotics, Computers and Electronics may interest many students and entice them to keep exploring career options.
