Hello! I teach in Brookshire, TX! We have a population of about 5,000, and our High School is just shy of 600 students in total. It is a great opportunity to work at Royal High School, however our students at Royal High School do face some challenges. About 3/4 of our students are classified as "economically disadvantaged" with about 2/3 qualifying for the Texas free lunch program. To put that into perspective for those not in the education realm, for most single parents they must make less than about $16,000 a year (NSLP/SBP). Regardless, our students are very passionate and excel in many areas. Specifically, I teach AP language, which is a very rigorous course of study. Despite most of my students juggling multiple roles ranging from student to care giver, they STILL seek out the same opportunities for higher learning! Thank you for taking interest in my classroom :D Go, Falcons!
