My students will be able to think about ways to handle their emotions and feelings in good and bad situations at home, school and in their community. They can do this through identifying their feelings, reading and journaling about their thoughts and learning about all different backgrounds within our classroom. Social emotional learning allows students to recognize their feelings and how to work through situations in a positive way. Also learning about others and their cultures gives them empathy for one another. Students will be more willling to help one another.
