I am the prek teacher for Laurel Mill. I have been teaching prek for 13 years. We are a 5 star center and this year I have a total of 18 children.I teach tittle 1 pre-k classroom. They are outgoing and learn mostly through play and observing peers. Most students come from low-income families and get free or reduce lunch. They love to be creative and learn new skills. My school is the smallest in the county and is in a very rural area of NC. The school is a Title 1 funded school and is a very family orientated. Most of the parents went to school there as a youngster and most of the teachers/staff have been there 30+ years. I enjoy the small loving community. All donations to help fund new learning materials to become a 5 star center will be appreciated.
