This project will help our students be better learners because they will have a comfy place to sit for our whole group lessons. If we get a rug it will be used daily as we gather around the smart board or white board for most of our lessons. We currently don't have a rug and have to ask students to sit on the bare floor which can get uncomfortable especially since we spend a big chunk of our day in the meeting area. The rug would also provide a comfortable place for students to read independently or to work in small groups.
