The students which I serve are amazing and from diverse backgrounds. Each of the kiddos has qualified for my district's Gifted program. These students need to be provided with enrichment and challenges in all areas. My kiddos range from second to sixth grade, and all have an interest in science as well as technology.
Currently, I serve 57 students in three schools and am testing 49 more. Two of the schools are on a military post meaning many of the students have lived around the world and/or have a parent deployed. My home school is an undeserved neighborhood school which was five students shy of qualifying for Title I funding. That said, the school is extremely diverse both culturally and financially.
Whether coming from a financially stable or financially distressed home, all of the kids in our IGNITE program are excited about learning. They love science, have a strong desire to learn coding, want to do research, and desire access to technology. They would be grateful.
