I am an proud NC Public Education School Teacher! I teach 5th grade mathematics. My students are extremely motivated and readily accept challenges. In fact, many times, they go in search of their own challenges. My students and I are learning Stephen Covey's Seven Habits of Highly Effective People and applying it successfully in our lives. The positive changes we are making are unbelievable! Great things await us!
These students attend a rural, public elementary school in North Carolina. We have an abundance of students from low socioeconomic backgrounds. I am impressed with their curious natures. They are so inquisitive about technology and how they can use it to find information and publish information. It amazes me that they can take one thing we have learned run with it in ways I never dreamed they would. These children are the ones who will be building our future.
