My middle school students are bright, imaginative, funny, and love to read. As a teacher librarian and art educator, I believe that developing students' literacy and creativity skills is paramount to their future success in a global economy. These are also abilities that can lead to personal happiness and fulfillment, regardless of future career decisions.
Our school is a culturally diverse low-income school in southern California. My students often face personal hardships at home, and for many families, English is their second language. Despite their challenges, my students come to school eager to learn. Even though public budgets are strained, I try to provide them with the tools they need to advance their learning. Your generous donation can help make that happen!
