Our school is a high-poverty Title I school, serving students from 39 different countries with 26 different native languages represented. Many of my students are newcomer refugees or recent immigrants to the United States, who are coming to our school with limited English language skills and varied educational backgrounds but with a strong desire and motivation to learn.
