Fostering literacy and a love of reading is always at the forefront of teaching. Every day students participate in free choice reading. Currently we have a small bookcase of choices for students in the classroom. This project aims to add more resources for the students to choose from in class. I want to increase the amount of literature that is available to students in my classroom. For this project, I chose books such as Harry Potter, Percy Jackson and Diary of a Wimpy Kid. I would like to continue to keep a well stocked classroom library so that students always have access to new and interesting titles.
