My students are first, second, and third graders in an inner city school. All of them are on free and reduced lunch, and many of them come from broken homes. These kids come to school with so much on their minds from home that it is a wonder that they can even learn at all. I believe that with support and love that every kid can learn, which is why I teach where I do. I believe that these kids need more than their share of support and love, and myself and the other staff members at my school can give that to them. With that said though, sometimes the supports that my kiddos need requires money that neither my school nor myself can manage at the moment. This is where you come in. With your monetary support, I can give my kids the educational supports that they need to thrive in a world that tells them they can't. Thank you for that!
