I teach at a high poverty school, and the kids don't have much at home. They are some of the sweetest kids you will ever meet. A lot of the students can't even afford basic necessities for school so teachers have to provide those for them. That makes it hard to provide anything extra when all available funds are going towards things like pencils, paper, notebooks, etc. My students are so appreciative of those little things. Anything above and beyond that really makes their day!
