Beam us UP! Most of my students can't imagine what sandy beaches, tall skyscrapers, giant farms, or large cities even look like. What about Peru, the Golden Gate Bridge or the White House? The opportunity to view the Eiffel Tower, Kremlin, Big Wall of China, and many other amazing adventures would be priceless.
I would use these glasses as a center allowing all kids the opportunity to visit the world, experience flight, dive into the Grand Canyon and so on and so on. Having the opportunity to experience these places would be priceless.
Dot and Dash were introduced at a conference I was able to attend and I was immediately interested in what they could bring into my classroom. My students have weekly access to computers, but not many opportunities to code outside of online resources and websites. These robots would provide concrete experiences for my students in mathematics, science and technology that they could not get elsewhere. In addition, they would be able to compete in national competitions with other students around the country providing them with even more real world, concrete opportunities.
