In my classroom, we focus on learning kindness, risk-taking, and a independence. It is my goal to help students fall in love with learning.
I have a high-rigor/high-engagement philosophy for teaching. I believe that students don't need to realize they are learning in order to learn. I believe that students learn best through hands-on experiences, and I do my best to seek out the resources that I need to make this learning environment possible.
Because more than half of my students come from low-income households, it is my goal to provide experiences that will help my students be successful. I focus on teaching problem solving skills, critical thinking skills, and independence to my kindergarten students.
