Thank you for visiting my Donors Choose page. I'm one of two teachers who work with students with intellectual and developmental disabilities at North Rowan Middle School in Spencer, NC. We have 19 amazing students with autism, Down syndrome, cerebral palsy, and other exceptionalities who bring an endless amount of joy into our lives, and they end up teaching us as much as we teach them! Ours is a Title I school, meaning that more than 40 percent of our students come from low-income households. As a result, opportunities for fundraising within the school and immediate community are limited. I hope you'll consider helping us provide our students with the tools they need to develop the academic, social and life skills that will set them on the path toward becoming self-determined individuals in control of their own destinies.
