We have many rainy days here in the PNW. I want my students to have a variety of creative materials to play with when they have recess.
Although I have some games on the list, I have found that the best activities at recess are ones that allow for a creative outlet. Legos, puzzles, and art material will help us get some of that creative energy out when we can go outside.
I want them to be able to have a break from learning- not just a video break, but a real chance to do something fun. They love building things and using social skills to work together on recess projects.
I've included puzzles, cards, and games for team building, toss games for large motor skill activities, Legos and art supplies for fine motor skill development. The marker boards are a favorite of students as they use them for scorekeeping, drawing, or even playing school! I've also included clear boxes for storage of materials.
