It is nearly impossible not to look forward to interacting with my silly, eccentric, charming, and beautifully kind batch of students every day. A lot of my scholars come from unimaginably challenging home backgrounds, but most of the time you would never know just by interacting with them.
They possess a vibrant positivity, eagerness to learn, and desire to be their best selves. They act in such kind and caring ways towards one another, from simply sharing, comforting a friend, or fixing something in our antique classroom.
It has been truly inspiring to see the grace, wonder, and incredible kindness of all of my scholars across the years. I deeply believe students just want to feel like productive members of a safe, caring community.
