Flexible seating will encourage students to take charge of their own learning by offering them choices that will work best for their individual learning styles. Students are typically much more engaged and excited about learning when they are able to choose where to work.
The different items that I have chosen will give my students choices in their learning journey. I will use the balance ball chairs, portable tables, stools and cushions as different work spaces for the students to get their wiggles out and become more focused and excited about learning and working. Each morning, students will come in and be given the opportunity to try out the different items. I believe these items will have a positive affect on my students and their excitement for the classroom.
