My students love to build and to see their creations. We also use the LEGOs to model structures in books, to create new ideas from stories, to design architecture, and to show the process for engineering for different projects. The LEGO wall will provide an outlet for the students to have some quiet time in a creative space, and also in other circumstances, to have a space to collaborate and share ideas with classmates. Even my smallest students in Kindergarten are able to effectively communicate their ideas through building with legos, even more so than they do on paper or verbally. The lego wall will be a place for students in different classes to see each other's creations, and for us to map out ideas for projects in class.
